Okay, it beats the Toyota Fortuner.

Do you have proof that Fords use Korean compressors? Last I looked, they use Sanden.

This was a great review. Thanks. Although on the review's engine/power portion, it almost got me counting this vehicle out when i was deciding on an SUV. Til i test drove an everest for myself (maybe the test unit described here wasn't broken-in yet or maybe was a "lemon" or maybe it just needed a bit more warming up). The torque & power as described here is nothing like the one tested. Unit i tested was much, much, much stronger(torque-wise/acceleration) than a 4x2 2.7gas & 2.5 fortuner, 4x4 3.0 alterra, 4x4 2008 montero sport, 2.8 pajero fieldmaster. And the everest does it at 2.5li. On paper, the 4x4 fortuner is only 3% more powerful. All of which i've tested. It's this test drive that made me decided on the everest over the rest. Wasn't able to test the santa fe though.
To those deciding based on engine torque, test drive every single option in the market. Warm it up (it still is diesel). Check out where the power band width on the tachometer. Run it constantly at 2200r
