Competitively priced vs. the City & Vios. When will it be launched?

sabi sa TGP, parang this is 2000 kgs flat, so lighter daw than vios/yaris and jazz/city, so it might provide better performance than those other cars. bakit may discrepancy ang pricing? saw from another forum sa mazda makati 805k sa mazda gh 795k?

Probably to account for insurance, registration, whatever...

It's more like 1000 kilograms... about the same weight as the Vios, maybe slightly lighter. Definitely lighter than the City/Jazz.

Any news if Mazda will introduce a lower priced M/T model? ...or will it be like the local Mazda 3 range which is A/T only.

I have a feeling it will be Ford that will offer a M/T version (Fiesta).

I sure hope Mazda brings in an MT. But they might not.

Despite Mazda being a "sporty" brand, Mazda Philippines is targetting more upmarket, socialite buyers, thus the AT bias. Ford aims at more mature, conservative and... practical buyers... thus they offer some trim levels with MT.

Ohhhh, Wow ang ganda, kaso expensive for a subcompact car. Will it compete with Vios and City? I don't think so. I think it will rather compete with Getz, i10, Picanto, Celerio. Lower your price please.

enjoy the ride, enjoy the company!

The Mazda 2 hatchback will compete with the Yaris, Swift, Jazz and soon, its euro-cousin the Ford Fiesta.

The i10, Getz, Picanto and Celerio are city cars which is segment lower than the sub-compact Mazda 2.
The Getz is an aging "bare" sub-compact thats priced like a city car.

It suddenly looks cheap inside. prolly because of a lot of buttons missing and the auto climate control equipped variant is mostly what's shown on the net.

nope... my car is just stock!---im just a modified driverWink

last january i saw this car in taiwan and lot's of teenager boys were on the driver seats, it's loaded and full of functional buttons , blue and green are mostly what i saw !

i can say they trim it down for the phillippine market , like what had happen to getz , matrix and i10 ! they categorize us as 3rd world !

Actually... the big turn-off is the 4AT. Against the Jazz, you'll need much more than that...

You'd think a showroom would at least dust off the dirt on their car's dashboard hehhee.
