There are two sides on any given coin...someone by the name of mr sy sends us so many questions in a week for one h.i.d. that goes for 6,000.00 clearly posted on the thread and keeps looking for more discount...when asked what car he drives, says an audi, when we give our recommendation, becomes very arrogant and insists on that brand which is on sale too.

We are professionals in the business and we know what suits which car and wont force ourselves to install if we know it will cause problems. If he doesnt want to purchase from us, thats fine. But dont question our knowledge as it involves playing around with the computer system of the car and bypassing the sensors.

We suggested the Philips because it is compatible with European car make and models without having to splice any wiring or bypass the o.e.m sensors etc...which are all connected to the computer system of the car. He still wouldnt listen and kept asking everything on text. I drive an Audi A4 hence I told him I know what is needed. If youre not interested in what we have to recommend, you may go buy from another store, youre not forced to buy from us.

When asked his member name as the discount only applies to club members, he gets arrogant. We have thousands of satisfied customers as we are straight shooters, no b.s. involved. Maybe he wasnt used to it and hence questioned our integrity.

I even told him that Philips costs a little more and he said that all the h.i.d.s he knows are made from the same company. We didnt want to go further anymore as it was just nuisance to continue answering and going round and round with the same thing.

And I even told him to call us if he is really serious before, still all questions on text and for us, we felt he wasnt serious anymore.

Well thats our story and like I said, we are straight shooters. Some do appreciate that characteristic, some dont. Thats their call.

Just a warning for you guys:

After I got my car, I had it tinted at LA Car Accessories in Makati. After about an hour and a half of waiting, this is what I got:



It ain't pretty...:-(

I asked the owner of the shop what the hell his tinters did to my car. He said that it was impossible for his tinters to break the windshield, since they were only using glass cutters and that this had never happened to him before. To help me out he said that he would contact Aguila Glass for me to help me get an assessment of why my windshield broke before we pointed fingers.

Since I wanted to be fair, I agreed...

a week passes and I call him about the appointment. He says that he'll call me back..

a month passes, and still no call.

I surf audiforums.com and ask if this had ever happened to any of their members. Several guys replied that when a tinter attempted to improperly remove the rear view mirror, the windshield would crack in a pattern similar to the picture.

And to think the owner prided himself on 'excellent customer service and reputation'. To this day he has not called me back.

In the tsikot.com forum ...

"LAcars" is promoting his shop and services.

"Dplmat" is mentioned to be a very satisfied customer for the last two years. Claims to work at the USA embassy. Has been defending LA Car's quality of service against "detractors".

So why do they share the exact same PLDT.net IP address for each day they are both posting messages on tsikot.com?

That's a travesty... if LACars really has an active double account... shouldn't that mean automatic banning? Whoever they are? Can't somebody talk to you-know-who about it?

Because there's a legitimate point there... since tsikot fancies itself a leader in consumer advocacy, closing a thread with a legitimate complaint against a car shop is against the "spirit" of tsikot.

There's actually a thread asking this very same thing... I'm waiting for Jedi's answer to that one...
