Toyota Fortuner ignites in the NLEX Options

Saw this piece of news in UKG the other day... they kept referring to the Fortuner as an "AUV" (while in some segments they refer to Adventures and the like as SUVs hehe) and refused to disclose the brand / model of the vehicle.

The weird thing is that there is no mention of this in print... not sure why.

Darn, i forgot about this. I could have spotted it on the NLEX car graveyard yesterday. I glanced at it and i saw a handful of burned vehicles parked side by side; one was large but i cannot confirm with finality if it was a Fort.

I recall already two other Toyotas burning on different occassions after an accident. DOn't know the cause though.

With all the bad press Toyota has been getting lately, I wouldn't be surprised if the company's PR people are working overtime to kill any negative publicity. Maybe they've been calling up the newspapers saying, "You do know how much we spend in advertising in your paper, don't you...?"

Had this been about a Fort w/ an LPG tank, this thread would've been buzzing like crazy by now.Big grin
